Absconding is understood as an employee not coming to work without notifying (or explaining) the manager or human resources department. This behavior is considered a serious violation of the company's rules and procedures and may lead to layoff.
Example
An employee who does not come to work for 3 consecutive days without any notice or explanation to the manager (or the company's human resources department), this behavior will be considered absconding.
