Adult learning theory
Adult training theory is a set of principles and techniques used to teach adults, based on the work of Malcolm Knowles, considered the father of the theory. In the HR industry, adult training theory can be applied to the design of workplace training programs that enhance the learning experience and maximize their effectiveness. The principles of this theory suggest that adults are more interested in learning when they can relate new information to their own experiences, have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas, and see how learning is involved. in their personal (or professional) goals.

Example
When new employee starts working at a company, they are often pressured by a new environment, new processes, and new people. Applying adult training theory can help make the onboarding process more efficient. Besides, it also helps them adapt to new roles and grasp work faster.
